The Shrine Circus will be returning to Bismarck on April 4-5. The event will consist of performances ranging from elephants and acrobats to clowns and comedians, said Hal Peterson, an El Zagal Shriner.

Peterson said it will be a great show, with a lot to expect. This year, the Shriners have donated tickets to soldiers in the National Guard and their families.

"We want people to know that we support the soldiers," said Peterson.

The circus also will have Lt. Dan Murphy as the honorary ring master at the April 5 performances.

Along with giving away circus tickets, the Shriners also will be giving away free bicycles after each performance. The bikes were ordered from Wal-Mart in Bismarck.

"The most important thing we remember for the Shrine Circus is that it is a family-oriented event for all ages to attend," said Peterson.

There will be two performances at 1:30 and 7 p.m. on April 4, and three performances at 10 a.m., 2 , and 7 p.m. on April 5. Gates will open an hour before performances.

General admission is $12.
