Curtains started on fire Sunday evening in the living room of a ground-floor Bismarck apartment and caused some fire damage to that unit and extensive smoke damage, but no one was hurt, said Don Peterson, a Bismarck Fire Department battalion chief, on Sunday.
Bismarck Police received a 911 call at 8:27 p.m. Peterson said firefighters arrived within a couple of minutes and quickly extinguished the fire at 1118 Bozeman Drive.
The apartment's resident wasn't hurt, nor were any firefighters.
He said they were still investigating the cause of the fire. American Red Cross was called in to help the apartment's resident if needed.
