The Abused Adult Resource center will be holding a sexual assault support group, free of charge, beginning Sept. 22. The group will run on the following eight consecutive Mondays from 6 to 9 p.m., Sept. 22 and 29, Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27, Nov. 3, 10 and 17.

This group is offered to assist survivors of sexual assault by providing emotional support and education in a peer group setting. The support group will be closed (no new members), after the first week.

The group is not targeted to address the issues of childhood incest but is intended to address issues of rape and sexual assault.
