An open house to celebrate the 80th birthday of former Gov. George Sinner will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Hall on the first floor the State Capitol in Bismarck.

The public is invited to attend.

Sinner was first elected governor in 1984 and served two terms before retiring in 1992. ANorth Dakota native, he and his wife Jane now live in Fargo.
