Hettinger - The 24th annual Western Dakota Crops Day will be held starting at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hettinger Armory. The program includes crop variety updates and highlights of ongoing crop research by a number of experts in the field.

Scranton - The public is invited to give its input from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Scranton Community Center on proposed improvements to State Highway 67 through Scranton and including 16 miles north. The project includes a proposed sidewalk between Hamilton and Fries Streets. The State Department of Transportation will be at the meeting.

Bowman - The Bowman Assembly of God Church will hold its ninth annual Community Christmas Dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 25 at the church. Anyone who can't attend and wants a meal delivered can call 523-5544.

Tappen - A clinic for beginning and experienced sheep producers who want to learn more about a successful lambing season will be held Jan. 9 at the Brent and Barb Stroh sheep operation near Tappen.
