The public can review the North Dakota Department of Transportation's State Transportation Improvement Program.
The STIP is a four-year program of transportation improvements to be funded with federal highway and transit monies. Improvements include projects on the state and county highways, urban streets, roadway safety features and bikeways, as well as busing programs, which will be funded with federal funds.
An electronic copy of the draft STIP can be found on the NDDOT Web site at www.dot.nd.gov/manuals/planning/STIP/draft-STIP.pdf.
Copies also are available for viewing at the district offices, or individual copies may be obtained from the Planning and Programming Division of the NDDOT upon request or by e-mailing dot@;nd.gov.
Comments about these or other projects and other issues concerning the STIP should be submitted by Aug. 1.
