The original oil painting of Ashley Andrews, Miss Rodeo America 2007, used in the 2008 Mandan Rodeo Days commemorative art poster, has found a permanent home at the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame in Medora.

Presentation of the oil painting was made during the opening ceremonies of the Mandan Rodeo on July 2. Ashley Andrews was on hand to talk about the Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign.

Phil Baird, president of the Cowboy Hall of Fame, thanked the Mandan Rodeo Committee and artist Deb Knuth of Wilton for the gift.

Joe LaDuke, chairman of the 2008 Mandan Rodeo Executive Committee, said, "We're very proud of Deb Knuth, a member of our rodeo committee. Additionally, we've always had a close affiliation with the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame, and I'm pleased this painting depicting Miss Andrews at the Mandan Rodeo grounds will be displayed in Medora."

The portrait of Andrews is depicted on posters that will be for sale at the Mandan Rodeo. Two dollars from the sale of each $5 poster will go to support breast cancer research through the Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign.

The Mandan Rodeo was the 2006 Hall of Fame Special Achievement inductee to the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame. For more information on the Mandan Rodeo, visit www.mandanrodeo.com.
