Medora - A Billings County zoning meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Billings County Courthouse in Medora. The meeting will include a review of proposed subdivision ordinances and the proposed comprehensive plan, so that, as a next step, both zoning areas can be reviewed by the public and adopted by the county commission.

Bowman - The District 1 Weather Modification Authority will hold a meeting at 10 a.m. Jan. 30 at the Bowman City Hall. The discussion will include a 2006 project review and a 2007 project planning and research program status.

Killdeer - An ethnic dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 11 at the American Legion Hall in Killdeer. Proceeds will go toward finishing the kitchen remodeling project. Also, the Dunn County Crop Improvement Association will hold a meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Buckskin Bar and Grill in Killdeer. The meeting will include speakers, commodity elections and supper.

Hazelton - The city of Hazelton will hold a special meeting at 7 tonight to discuss city water lines and repair of the city water tower. Advisory board members are asked to be present. Applicants for the job of city maintenance engineer will be interviewed at 8 p.m.

New Leipzig - The eighth annual Grant County Ag Day will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 30 at the New Leipzig Community Center. There will be sessions on ag products and the Red Trail Ethanol project at Richardton. A lunch will be provided.

Hebron - Hebron will hold its annual "Soup's On" competition and public tasting at 6 p.m. March 10 at the Hebron school gym. Soup cooking teams are eligible for prizes and can register at the Hebron Herald.

New Town - A winter grazing seminar will be held starting with registration at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 30 at the 4 Bears Casino in New Town. The seminar will focus on enhancing and conserving the health of grazing lands. Sponsors are area soil conservation districts, the extension service, and federal wildlife and conservation agencies. A $10 registration fee includes a noon lunch.

Belfield - The Belfield and South Heart school boards will talk at their February board meetings about the possibility of forming a sports cooperative for boys basketball. The idea came up last year, but lost momentum over a variety of issues. Belfield school superintendent Darrel Remington said the idea's back on track because of declining enrollment in both schools. A decision would have to be made in March for next school year.
