A deadline of Aug. 15 has been set for the 2008 North Dakota Master Gardener training scheduled for this fall.
The program will run Friday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to noon from Sept. 5 to Oct. 24. For those unable to participate in the morning sessions, the material will be streamed on the Internet.
Registration forms are available by calling 221-6865, e-mailing ElRoy.Haadem@;ndsu.edu, or at the Burleigh County Extension office, 3715 E. Bismarck Expressway.
Non-volunteers may simply take the course for informational purposes. Volunteers fulfill class requirements as well as complete 48 hours of service for the extension office. Once these requirements are fulfilled, a volunteer is eligible to become certified as a master gardener. Cost of the master gardener class is $100 (volunteer) or $200 (non-volunteer).
Class sites will include Bismarck, Dickinson, Beach, Hettinger, Williston, Cavalier, Grand Forks and Fargo.
