Each year, Tribune Awards are presented to people who have made a positive difference in the community, either through a lifetime of service or one unselfish act. Readers are invited to nominate people they feel deserve recognition.
Past awards have gone to individuals who have, week after week, year after year, volunteered their time and effort at local hospitals, to people who have helped neighbors in a time of need and to individuals who have saved the lives of others following car crashes or medical emergencies.
Often these heroic individuals do not seek public recognition, and so nominating them makes the reward sweeter and more heart felt.
The deadline for nomination is Thursday, Dec. 11.
To make a nomination, write a brief statement explaining why the person you are nominating deserves recognition, along with their name and address. The person making the nomination must include their name and phone number. Send the material to Tribune Awards, Bismarck Tribune, P.O. Box 5516, Bismarck, N.D. 58502, or e-mail the nomination to Ken Rogers at krogers@bismarcktribune.net.
The awards will be announced Jan. 1, 2004.
