Burleigh 4-H fair scheduled

The Burleigh County 4-H Fair will be held Aug. 7-10. The events will begin with the Livestock Show in the outdoor arena on the Missouri Valley Complex beginning at 9 a.m. Aug. 7.

Following the show there will be a premium sale starting at 5 p.m. At the sale, buyers bid on each grand, reserve, blue and red ribbon animal. The 4-H'er maintains ownership of the animal. The sale is for premium only.

The pets, poultry and rabbit show will be held indoors in the Joann Hetzel Memorial 4-H Building at 5 p.m. Aug. 8.

The events continue Aug. 9 with static exhibits. Public viewing of exhibits will be from noon to 2:30 p.m. At 10:30 a.m., the 4-H tractor driving contest will take place at the Missouri Valley Complex.

Carnival games will be set up by the 4-H clubs and will be free and open to youth from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day's events will come to a close at 2:30 p.m. in the indoor arena with a "Parade of Clubs" and the "4-H Project Affair" where each 4-H'er will have a chance to show off a project.

The 4-H horse show will complete the events at the Walt Neuens Memorial Park on Aug. 10 with the show starting at 9 a.m.
