An investigation continues into possible neglect after an infant boy was found to have a broken leg after leaving a north Bismarck daycare on Tuesday
According to Bismarck Police Lt. Randy Ziegler, a man reported he picked up his 6-month-old son from daycare late Tuesday afternoon, when he became suspicious. "The parents said the baby seemed to be agitated and upset," Ziegler said.
"The baby was taken to the St. Alexius walk-in clinic. One of the doctors determined that the baby had a broken bone in his right leg," he said.
Both parents said the infant was fine in the morning when dropped off at the daycare.
The incident was reported to have occurred between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
The mother reported the neglect incident after doctors found the child's injuries.
Authorities are still questioning people connected to the case.
