It's time to clean out the attic. The Treasure Hunters Roadshow nationwide tour will be coming to Bismarck from Tuesday through Saturday. They will be at the Days Inn, 1300 E. Capitol Ave., and are interested in purchasing area residents' antiques and collectibles.

They are looking for all coins made before 1965, all paper money printed before 1965, and jewelry. Also, any platinum or silver, all old musical instruments and much more. If it's old, they want to see it.

"A lot of times people are surprised by how much their item is worth," Director of Public Relations Shannon Stott said.

Along with antiques, people are encouraged to bring any gold they might have, especially since its price is at an all-time high. If one is unsure whether or not their item is gold, bring it in and they will test it, free of charge.

If antique owners are not interested in selling their item and are just curious to know how old it is and how much it's worth, they are still encouraged to bring it in. They will get their answers from one of the Treasure Hunters antique experts with no cost whatsoever.

"The road show is a great way for people to learn about the possessions they've had a long time," Stott said.

Antique owners are asked to not clean their item because they could ruin any finishes it may have. Also, there is no limit on the amount of items a person can bring.

The show will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It is free to attend. For more information, call Shannon Stott at 217-636-7900.
