Dawson - Bingo for turkeys, hams, summer sausage and cash will be played from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Dawson Hall in Dawson. A bake sale will be held afterward. Watford City - The community is invited to an open house from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Watford City High School commons in honor of Tom Suelzle, longtime teacher and coach at the school. Also, the Watford City High School will hold its awards night at 7:30 p.m. May 15 at the high school media center. A reception by the National Honor Society will be held afterward.

Stanton - This is the final year the elementary school in Stanton will be in operation, and the combined Stanton-Center district will hold a meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Stanton school to answer questions in regard to the school closing.

Hazen - A public meeting for people interested in developing a recreation and wellness center in Hazen will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Lewis and Clark RV comfort station. Organizer Jerry Obenauer said the meeting is not a debate of the idea, but for those interested in moving forward. Also, the Southwest Water Authority will hold its monthly meeting at 9 a.m. today at the Hazen Golf Course clubhouse.
