Beach - The Beach School District will meet at 7 p.m. May 14 in room 11 at Beach High School to discuss a preliminary planning document on the school's demographics for the next several years. The planning document is available at the school, and the public input meeting will help complete the report.

Elgin - The annual awards ceremony for Grant County High School students will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Elgin Community Center. Refreshments will be served rather than a meal. Everyone is invited.

Mott - The Mott Good Samaritan Center annual bazaar will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 15 at the center in Mott. Raffle tickets will be sold.

Dawson - Bingo for turkeys, hams, summer sausage and cash will be played from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Dawson Hall in Dawson. A bake sale will be held afterward. All proceeds will go toward the town's July 3 celebration. Also, Lions Clubs in Tuttle and Pettibone are asking the public to contribute ideas for Lions' community projects in both communities. Those for Tuttle can be dropped off at the Community Store, and those for Pettibone can be dropped off at the Cenex

Napoleon - A soup and sandwich fundraiser sponsored by CSI Relay for Life will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Downtowner banquet room in Napoleon. There will be a choice of three soups. Reservations are recommended by calling the Downtowner at 754-2260.

Ashley - The Hayloft, a genuine hayloft barn theater at the Scott and Ermaline Schlepp farm five miles north of Ashley, will present "A Comedy Play" at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday. Reservations are required by calling the Schlepps at 288-3759. Tickets are $10 per person.

Watford City - The community is invited to an open house from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Watford City High School commons in honor of Tom Suelzle, longtime teacher and coach at the school. Also, the Watford City High School will hold its awards night at 7:30 p.m. May 15 at the high school media center. A reception by the National Honor Society will be held afterward.

Washburn - The Washburn High School athletic banquet will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the school, with Al Bortke as the guest speaker. The event is open to all high school athletes, and their parents and families are asked to bring a potluck dish to share.

Stanton - This is the final year the elementary school in Stanton will be in operation, and the combined Stanton-Center district will hold a meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Stanton school to answer questions in regard to the school closing.

Hazen - A public meeting for people interested in developing a recreation and wellness center in Hazen will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Lewis and Clark RV comfort station. Organizer Jerry Obenauer said the meeting is not a debate of the idea, but for those interested in moving forward. Also, the Southwest Water Authority will hold its monthly meeting at 9 a.m. today at the Hazen Golf Course clubhouse.

Glen Ullin - The Glen Ullin music and drama departments will present "Back to the '80s," a musical, at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the school. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and will be available at the door both nights.

Center - The Village Gallery will meet at 1 p.m. today at the Center Civic Center to elect officers. Membership fees and entries for the 30th annual art show are due. The art show will be held June 13-14 in conjunction with Old Settler's Days.
