Hettinger - A new headquarters building will be constructed at the Hettinger Research Extension Center and the center will take bids on the project until they are read at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 13. Bids received later will be rejected. Construction documents are available. Also, a meeting to help parents identify signs of their children's self-destructive behavior will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hettinger High School audio-visual room.

Medora - Talented individuals who want to spend a summer performing in the 2008 Medora Musical can attend an audition at 1 p.m. Saturday at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., in the music building. Auditions for singers and dancers will be held on a first-come, first-served based. Auditions will be held later in Minneapolis and in Memphis, Tenn.

Linton - The 15th annual Dairy Cow College will be held from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today at the Emmons County Courthouse auditorium in Linton. The college is for dairy producers and service providers and is sponsored by the North Dakota State University extension and Midwest Dairy Association. Carson - The ninth annual Grant County Ag Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Grant County Fair building in Carson. The day will include displays, demonstrations, crop elections, free lunch and information on cattle and weed control.

Steele - A public hearing will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Steele-Dawson school library in Steele. The newly formed Kidder County School Board will present a plan for curriculum and staffing at the Tappen and Steele-Dawson schools for 2008-09 school year.

Napoleon - The new Napoleon Post Office opened at its new location Saturday and P.O. box customers will be issued new keys. Anyone who needs help or information can talk to postmaster Cheryl Weigel. Andrews completed her year-long reign in December and is now the director of economic development at Bowman.
