The North Dakota state Capitol grounds are far from an imaginary place in an ancient region on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea. But the Bismarck site will serve as the place of classic Shakespearean comedy tonight, Saturday and Sunday - this week's Best Bet for entertainment.

Free performances of "Twelfth Night" will be held today and Saturday at 6 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. performance Sunday. The four-performance outdoor run began Thursday evening near the Veterans Memorial.

The performances will include medieval entertainment before the shows start, fencing, minstrels, wandering wenches, food and drink. Bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. Additional information can be obtained at www.capitolshakespeare.com.

Other dramatic performances this weekend also are best bets, including "High School Musical" at Sleepy Hollow Park today and Saturday at 8:30 p.m., and "That Rascal Pat" at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park today and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Additional information can be obtained at www.shst.org and www.fortlincoln.com.

Another best bet will be New Salem's 125th Celebration with various events all weekend. For information, go to www.newsalem-nd.com.

And on Saturday, Gateway to Science will hold a "Family Rocket Day" from 1 to 4 p.m. For more information, go to www.gscience.org/gateway.
