Two join Tribune reporting staff

LeAnn Eckroth and Brian Duggan have joined the Bismarck Tribune's reporting staff.

Eckroth will cover city-county issues for the Tribune and Duggan will be the state Capitol and political reporter.

Eckroth has worked in print journalism for 20 years.

She previously wrote for the Williston Daily Herald as its senior staff reporter.

She also worked for the Devils Lake Journal and the Emmons County Record in Linton.

Eckroth is a graduate of the University of Mary, earning a major in mass communications and a minor in social sciences. She is a native of Mandan.

Duggan, 23, is a Las Vegas native and a recent graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno, where he majored in journalism with a minor in economics.

He has reported as an intern from Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., where he covered Nevada's congressional delegation for the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Duggan spent this summer in Phoenix on a fellowship at The Arizona Republic where he wrote about business and crime.
