A 10-year-old boy was cited for criminal mischief after allegedly causing up to $700 of damage from spray painting homes and cars.
The Bismarck boy also had a 5-year-old boy and a 6-year-old boy with him; all three spray-painted the sides of homes and two cars, police said.
Witnesses contacted police at 8 Thursday night after seeing the children vandalize some property; only the 10-year-old was cited, as the two others were too young to be held accountable, said Lt. Randy Zeigler with the Bismarck Police Department.
The 10-year-old was cited with four counts of criminal mischief; the case will be forwarded to juvenile court, which may decide to keep it or return it to the Bismarck Police Department's Youth Bureau.
