Construction continues on the Bismarck Public Schools career and technical center. The building is on the Bismarck State College campus near BSC's technical center.
Work continues on the foundation and footings for the building. Then, steel beams will be installed for precast concrete panel walls, facility director Darin Scherr said.
The center is a 90,000-square-foot building that will house some of the district's career and technical programs. The project costs about $12 million.
Concurrently, the district is building a new elementary school northeast of Century Avenue and Centennial Road. About half the walls of the gym are in place, Scherr said. The $8.8 million elementary school will have 24 classrooms for about 480 students.
