River Road will be closed to traffic starting Monday, after 8 a.m., at the water treatment plant north of Fraine Barracks Road.

A water main is being installed in the roadway as part of the water plant upgrade. The installation is expected to take three weeks, depending on the weather.

Traffic should seek alternate routes. Access to Meriwether's restaurant and the Port of Bismarck will be maintained from the north. The multi-use trail will be open for use.
