Police are investigating eight thefts from vehicles parked in west Bismarck, where the thief took random items, such as registration cards, insurance cards, one glove and one die.

Lt. Randy Ziegler said the vehicles were parked on West Thayer Avenue, West Rosser Avenue, West Broadway Avenue and on Washington Street. The cars were unlocked when they were entered between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

The items stolen from the vehicles were all in glove boxes, Ziegler said. He said an officer found paper scattered through the neighborhood and was able to track down the people who had items stolen.

The stolen items include registration cards, car wash tickets, vehicle insurance cards, a package of wine yeast, sunglasses, a Maglite flashlight, check stubs, a CD, one glove, one die and a vehicle owners manual, Ziegler said.
