A Bismarck man has been charged with gross sexual imposition for allegedly sexually assaulting a 4-year-old boy.
Thomas McLeod, 23, was charged Monday with the Class AAfelony.
South Central DistrictJudge Bob Wefald set bond for McLeod at $25,000. The judge also prohibited McLeod from having contact with the boy or his parents.
Bismarck Police Lt. Randy Ziegler said the boy's mother called police after her son told his mother what had happened. Ziegler said the mother had asked McLeod, who was an acquaintance, to watch her children, which also include a 2-year-old.
McLeod was listed as homeless on a police report, though he gave Wefald a south Bismarck address.
