BILLINGS

Medora - The Billings County commissioners will hold a public hearing at 10 a.m. Aug. 5 in the Billings County Courthouse in Medora on a request to issue $3 million in MIDA bonds for the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation's renovation of the Rough Rider Hotel in Medora. The bonds are a limited-obligation finance mechanism for the county. Also, a Billings County housing study meeting for Fairfield, Fryburg and Medora will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 30 at the Medora City Council meeting room.

Stanton - The Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site will hold its 27th annual Culture Fest Saturday and Sunday at the site north of Stanton. The free event includes cultural and musical presentations and demonstrations on beadwork, bow-making, and quill work. Children's activities will be available, including games and painting.
