Alumni of Dickinson State University are invited to a picnic Aug. 7 at Sertoma Park in Bismarck to reconnect with friends and classmates.

Dickinson State will sponsor the summer picnic, which includes food and beverages and the opportunity to meet new DSUpresident Richard McCallum and his wife, Julie. Country music will be provided by DSU alumnus Cody Lindstrom (Class of '00).

The event is from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sertoma Park Shelter No. 8. On hand will be the DSU mascot, Buster the Blue Hawk, and a number of Blue Hawk football players, who will greet fans and have their photos taken with guests.

"DSU Comes to You"is the theme of the event, according to Jessie Schofield, DSUassistant director of alumni and annual donor relations.
