ADAMS

Hettinger - The Hettinger High School Christmas concert will be held tonight at the Roberts-Reinke Auditorium, with the junior high band and choir performing at 7 p.m., followed by the high school band and choir at 8 p.m.

BOWMAN

Rhame - Rhame will hold its school Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, while the Scranton elementary school will present its annual holiday concert at 7 p.m. Monday. Also, the Bowman Area Dollars for Scholars holiday tour of homes will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 at Dale's Clothing in Bowman.

DUNN

Dodge - Dodge will host its second annual Old-fashioned Christmas from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Dodge City Auditorium. Homemade cookies and candies will be served, along with a buffet of local food. Sleigh rides and entertainment also are planned.

Zeeland - The Zeeland Public School Christmas concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Zeeland school. Performances will be by children in grades kindergarten through grade six.

GOLDEN VALLEY

Beach - The Home on the Range fifth annual Basket Bash will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at The Backyard in Beach. The bash includes wine and hor d'oeuvres, an auction of theme baskets and a dance. Anyone who wants to donate a basket can contact Home on the Range at 872-3745.

Carson - A community meal and evening of entertainment in support of area Grant County National Guard members who are being activated will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Grant County fair building in Carson. Anyone who plans to attend should call Grant County State Bank at 622-3491 today.

New England - Holiday plans in New England include hay rides with Santa from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and candy will be distributed to children Dec. 17, following the New England school Christmas program.

Steele - The Kidder County Farm Service Agency and Soil Conservation District will hold an open house Wednesday at their new building in northwest Steele. The public is invited.

Napoleon - The Santa Claus Day carnival will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Napoleon school gym. The carnival is for children up to age 13, with prizes, gifts, games, popcorn and pop.

Wishek - Wishek residents should turn on their Christmas lights for tonight's lighting contest sponsored by the Wishek Association of Commerce. Prizes will be awarded to residents and a business.

Watford City - A lutefisk, lefse and meatball supper will be served from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Watford City Civic center. Adults are $10 and children 12 and under are $5. The meal is sponsored by the Johnson Corners Christian Academy.

Underwood - The Underwood Civic Club's Hometown Holiday Concert will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Underwood High School gym. The concert will feature the community choir, group performances and dances by Just for Kix members.

Hazen - The Knife River Christmas Chorale will hold performances at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Hazen elementary school gym. The chorale is now in its 47th year.

Hebron - The Hebron Community Clinic will hold a men's health screening from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Men can get prostate screens for $5, along with cholesterol and blood screens and flu shots. Refreshments will be served. Call 878-4250 for an appointment.

Oliver County - Center school district patrons, along with those from Stanton, will vote Jan. 12, 2004, on the election of a new five-member board to represent the newly consolidated school district. Deadline to get on the ballot is Wednesday.
