A Bismarck woman has been charged with child abuse and neglect for allegedly caring for her infant child while intoxicated.

Jessica Hakala, 29, was charged Tuesday with the Class C felony.

According to a complaint signed by Bismarck Police Detective Mark Gaddis, Hakala was charged for being too intoxicated to care for her infant child on March 16.

Hakala is slated to appear in court again on April 16.
