Since its winter kickoff, the Missouri Valley Family YMCA has raised approximately $400,000 of its $2 million building campaign.
The fundraising campaign is on track, according to executive director Andy Dahl.
A major donor opportunity is still in the works. "As part of the fund drive, the capital campaign planning committee has authorized a major donor the opportunity to have their name placed on the exterior of the new building as a way to recognize their generosity and community support." Dahl said.
Jiran Architects of Bismarck is spearheading the physical aspects of the project, including a 20,000-square-foot expansion of the Wellness Center and gym, as well as additional parking. Jiran recently provided renderings of the addition, which are on display in the YMCA lobby.
The fundraising campaign will continue through fall 2007.
