WEST FARGO (AP) - A woman from Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, died after falling from a horse in a jumping competition at the Red River Valley Fair in West Fargo.
Fifty-seven-year-old Patricia Troy died Wednesday in a Fargo hospital, a day after the fall.
Her husband, Mike, says his wife fell off the horse, landed on her back, and the horse stepped on her chest.
He says his wife appeared to be recovering from her injuries when she died. An autopsy is planned.
