Robert Peterson, auditor, and Kelly Schmidt, treasurer, were endorsed today for new terms at the Republican convention in Fargo.

Peterson is 58. When he was elected state auditor in 1996, he succeeded his father, Robert W. Peterson, in the job.

Schmidt, 45, will be seeking her second term.
