Wednesday night, three lanes were open, two westbound and one eastbound. The fourth lane is set to open by Saturday.
Crews are finishing the median railing and applying traffic stripes to the driving lanes.
On the west end of Memorial Bridge ramps will be reopened connecting Interstate 94-Bismarck Expressway with Memorial Highway. This includes the following ramps: northbound I-194 traffic to Memorial Highway; the "flyover' ramp taking southbound Interstate 94 traffic east across Memorial Bridge.
Westbound traffic from Memorial Bridge to northbound Interstate 94 is currently open.
Crews also are working through the weekend to remove steel from the last bridge implosion.
Trucks are accessing the area through the closed section of River Road.
Concrete approaches and abutments on the east side also are being removed from River Road. That's why River Road will remain closed until work next to River Road is completed.
Other work planned for next week includes: railing installation and painting touchup; landscaping and seeding; cleanup and preparation for Nov. 11 dedication.
