GRAND FORKS (AP) - Police have identified a man and a woman found dead in a Grand Forks home the day before Christmas, and they say a fire in the kitchen of the home apparently started from a hot plate.
Police say they're still investigating the deaths of 50-year-old Bridget Ann Hayes and 65-year-old Harry Tetrault. The two were found dead in the home Wednesday afternoon. Police say they apparently thought a fire in the kitchen had been extinguished.
Police believe the fire happened on Tuesday, caused by combustible materials placed on a hot plate.
