At the third annual Chance Sauers Memorial Bull Riding event on Saturday, they've added fantasy bull riding.
They set out to find six city slickers who knew almost nothing about bull riding to send into the ring.
They came up with five men and one woman who say they are brave enough to test the bulls.
The contestants trained the last three weekends. For roughly two hours per weekend, they rode mechanical bulls and otherwise prepared as best as they could for the real deal.
The fantasy bull riding event will be part of the Chance Sauers Memorial Bull Riding event held in Mandan at the Dakotah Speedway Park at 4 p.m. Saturday.
The six contestants will be strapped to bulls for the first time in their lives to see if they can make it the full eight seconds.
The fantasy rides are expected at around 4:30 p.m.
Tickets run $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased at Lonesome Dove, White House Cafeteria and Corral West.
