GRAND FORKS (AP) - A snowflake wall is being chiseled from 300-pound blocks of ice for this city's New Year's Eve celebration.

The downtown First Night event aims to provide family entertainment with no smoking or alcohol. It includes student art displays, music and food.

It's the 14th year of the celebration in Grand Forks.
