A fire destroyed a one-story home at 7141 Bridger Drive Saturday night, officials said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, although Captain Scott Sommers with Bismarck Rural Fire Department said they believe it was accidental.
No one was injured, he said.
The fire was reported at 11:23 p.m Saturday by a neighbor and was contained within an hour. By the time the first responders were at the house, the fire had already reached the roof, Sommers said.
Clean-up crews finished around 4 a.m., although investigators were still at the scene early Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters had to use a backhoe to tear down the north wall, which was full of hot spots. The roof was destroyed and a crew-cab pickup in the garage was totaled. Other vehicles were moved to safety.
No one was home at the time of the fire. The family may be staying with relatives in the area, officials said.
