Mandan man faces charges

Bismarck police arrested a 28-year-old Mandan man, Cody Schlomer, in a motel room with a 17-year-old girl after a third party called in a domestic assault concern.

Sgt. Dwight Offerman of the Bismarck police said the two were reportedly romantically involved.

According to police reports, the 17-year-old Bismarck girl text messaged a friend that she was scared she could not leave the room and a knife was involved. The friend then called the police.

Police arrested Schlomer on a previous bench warrant on a civil matter in Bismarck.

Schlomer was charged Friday with terrorizing, corruption of a minor and possession of drug paraphenalia. Bond was set for $5,000.
