The Mandan Historical Society has been attempting to contact all the World War II veterans living in the city and surrounding areas of Morton County.
The society has a World War II exhibit in works at the Railroad Beanery for July 3-4. The exhibit will include a DVD showing the construction of the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C., WWII posters from the State Historical Society of North Dakota, paintings of fighter planes by Scott Nelson, a registry of WWII veterans and other memorabilia.
Veterans not already contacted are asked to get in touch with George Reichman at 663-5353 or Bill Engelter at 663-7700.
The exhibit will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 3 and from noon to 5 p.m. July 4.
