A career of crime doesn't pay.

A 15-year-old boy found this out when he was caught with the wallet of a guest speaker for a career education class at Horizon Middle School on Wednesday.

The guest speaker had taken his wallet out of his pocket before speaking with the first class and discovered it missing by the end of the third class, according to the Bismarck police report. It had some cash and a credit card in it.

After some investigation, the police and school officials figured out who had the most access to the wallet, and found it. It was returned to the guest speaker and the boy was cited with theft of property. He was referred to the Police Youth Bureau.
