Medora - The Billings County Commission will hold a zoning meeting at 2 p.m. Friday at the Billings County Courthouse in Medora to hear a request from Eagle Ridge Lodge, located four miles southwest of Medora, to rezone additional tracts for a proposed subdivision. The county has already rezoned five lots in the subdivision.

Linton - A public hearing will be held at 8 p.m. April 2 at the Linton City Hall for public input on a Community Development Block Grant application for funds to improve housing and handicap access to the city hall, library and school. Anyone who wants information on the application prior to the hearing can stop by the Linton city offices.

Ashley - A sentencing date of May 29 has been set at South Central District Court in Ashley for Barb Malaski, who pleaded guilty to taking $63,000 when she was the Wishek Public School business manager. A trial will be held at Ashley May 9 and May 10 for Wishek police officer Jay Kamletz, who pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence Aug. 24, when he wrecked into a utility pole in town. Wishek - The Wishek Dollars for Scholars will hold its annual meeting at 8 tonight at the Wishek Library to elect board members and officers.

Watford City - Watford City's Spring Fling will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the McKenzie County Veterans Memorial Building. The day includes booths and exhibitors and, starting at 11 a.m., demonstrations of dog training, belly dancing, fly fishing, Indian feather dancing and more. Surveys are available that ask for responses to whether one is needed, what it should be built of, how it should be funded and whether sports should be played inside.
