The family of Crystal Alyea has established a benefit account at Starion Financial Bank. Alyea was injured in a hit-and-run accident in Mandan April 19. She was walking through the Colonial Lounge parking lot when a pickup struck her. She received deep cuts to her head and scrapes to her upper body.

A New Town man has been arrested in connection with the accident. Eugene Andrew Smith Jr., 40, was charged Monday with leaving the scene of an injury accident, a felony; aggravated reckless driving, a misdemeanor; and unauthorized used of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.

Donations can be made to the Crystal Alyea account at any Starion location. Proceeds will go toward medical and living expenses.
