Bismarck and Mandan police each dealt with a number of burglaries over the weekend.
Bismarck Police Officer Pat Renz said four burglaries were reported to his department, and Mandan Police Sgt. Brent Wilmeth said three were reported in his.
Someone entered Dakota Foot & Ankle, 1733 E. Capitol Ave., between Thursday night and Friday morning, Renz said. He said entry was gained through a window. Nothing was taken, but some drawers had been opened and looked through, he said.
A similar burglary occurred at Chiropractic Care Centre, 1921 N. 13th St., between Thursday night and Friday morning, Renz said. He said someone forced open the front door, pried a file cabinet open and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
Renz said someone entered Delta Water Fowl, 1305 E. Central Ave., on Friday. Nothing was taken, and entry was gained by forcing open a door, he said.
A door was forced open at Stadium Sports Bar, 1247 W. Divide Ave, early Monday morning. Renz said officers responded to an alarm call at the bar at 4:39 a.m., but no one was at the establishment when they arrived. Three cabinet doors had been forced open, but nothing was taken, Renz said.
Mandan police investigated two burglaries at homes and one at a business, Wilmeth said.
He said someone pried open a window at A Buck or So, 3801 Memorial Highway, around 8 p.m. Thursday. Filing cabinets and drawers were open inside the business, and a small amount of cash was taken, he said.
Someone working in the adjacent business, Farmers Union Insurance, could hear someone next door but thought it was someone working, Wilmeth said.
He said someone attempted to break into a detached garage on the 400 block of Third Street Northeast sometime Friday. A side entry door was dented, he said.
Wilmeth said a man on the 100 block of Riverdale Avenue came home at 9:35 p.m. Saturday and noticed his lights were turned on, but turned off as he pulled in.
He entered his home and found unknown people fleeing out the back door, Wilmeth said. He said the man did not know any of the people and did not know anyone who would enter his home. Nothing was taken, Wilmeth said.
