Police didn't have to look too hard to find a restaurant patron who tried to "dine and dash" - she wrote her name on a comment card before leaving.
Bismarck Police Sgt. Dwight Offerman said four people left Applebee's, 3200 N. 14th St., Wednesday night without paying their $77.64 check.
An employee was able to identify one patron, a 17-year-old Bismarck girl, and she received a juvenile citation for theft, Offerman said.
He said officers also identified a 19-year-old woman, because she had written her name on the comment card on the table. He said a report will be sent to the city attorney for a possible theft charge.
Police are working to identify the other two, Offerman said.
