Having a holly, jolly Christmas apparently wasn't on the minds of two women whose argument over a mall parking spot ended with one of them claiming to have been struck by the other's vehicle.
Bismarck Police Officer Pat Renz said a 53-year-old Gackle woman was standing in a Kirkwood Mall parking place around 11 a.m. Saturday, saving the slot for her daughter.
A 45-year-old Bismarck woman wanted the parking spot and told her to move, Renz said.
The women's stories differ on what happened after the first encounter, Renz said.
The Gackle woman said the Bismarck woman accelerated her Honda Civic, striking the Gackle woman with her car before parking the vehicle.
The Bismarck woman said she inched her car forward in the parking spot, and the Gackle woman slipped while backing up.
Renz said there were no indications that the Gackle woman was hurt during the incident.
The case is being forwarded to the city attorney's office for possible charges, Renz said.
