Carrie's Kids will partner with the Wizards and Tires Plus tonight during the Wizards-Colorado 14ers game.
A local effort on behalf of homeless children, youth and their families, Carrie's kids will benefit from the Tires Plus Tires Toss. This season-long promotion gives fans the chance to purchase a foam tire in which they throw on the court at halftime to try and win prizes, such as roundtrip airfare for two to Las Vegas.
Typically a tire for this promotion costs $1 with 50 cents of every dollar going to the organization working that evening. Saturday will have a twist to it as the tires for this promotion will still be available for $1, but you can substitute that cash donation with two non-perishable food items or toiletry needs (toilet paper, soap, toothbrushes and paste along with warm blankets).
Also, youth within Carrie's Kids organization will receive a complimentary ticket to the game courtesy of Dr. Heringer's Center for Laser and Cosmetic Dentistry and KFC will open their doors to the youth prior to the game for them to eat at their buffet. Taxi 9000 will pick up the youth and get them to and from the arena.
