HETTINGER - The 25th annual Western Dakota Crops Day and Show will be held starting at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Hettinger Armory. There will be presentations on fertilizers, camelina for biofuel and crop production research results, with all information geared especially for western North Dakota producers. The show is free and open to the public.

LINTON - Santa Claus Day will be held in Linton Saturday, starting with a 12:45 p.m. tour of town with Santa. Santa then arrives at 1 p.m. at the Linton Memorial Auditorium to hand out candy and gifts to children. His visit is sponsored by the Linton American Legion.

BOWDON - A meeting to assess interest in establishing a meat processing plant in Bowdon will be held at 7 tonight at the Bowdon Community Center. The meeting will discuss interest in a business in which local meat and wild game can be processed and to ensure the future of the Bowdon grocery store.

HARVEY - The 10th annual Canadian Pacific Holiday Trail will arrive at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Harvey depot, where performers will present a Christmas performance and spectators can drop off food to be donated to the local food pantry.
