The jury in the Moe Gibbs murder trial received the case at 3:40 p.m. today.
Two men were selected as alternates by Southeast District Judge John Paulson, leaving a final jury of seven men and five women.
Attorneys for both sides presented final arguments today, followed by jury instructions.
Gibbs is on trial in the Burleigh County Courthouse for the murder of Mindy Morgenstern, a Valley City State College student from New Salem.
Later the jury had a question for the judge, then went home for the evening at 5:10.
