The 2007 season starts Monday for Buckstop Junction, which has 20 historic buildings on its site near the intersection of East Main Avenue and Bismarck Expressway.
The annual membership meeting starts with a 6 p.m. Monday light meal and then a 7 p.m. meeting. New members are welcome.
The pioneer town, established in 1992, will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays through the summer for self-guided tours.
Starting in mid-June, tour guides will be available for scheduled guided tours at 1 and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Another option:Starting Monday, groups can call and reserve a specific time for a guided tour. To do that, call Maureen or Mike Beck at 223-7559 or Em Holly at 223-4838, or call the town's office and leave a message at 250-8575.
The pioneer town includes Bismarck's first grocery store, a train depot from Sterling, an Arena rural school, a McClusky bank, a Driscoll blacksmith shop, Tappen's Lewis Hotel and other buildings. The buildings date from 1875 to 1935.
To get to the town from Interstate 94, exit at Exit 161 and travel south on Bismarck Expressway to East Main Avenue.
Tour fees are $3 for adults and students over 13; and $1 for children under 12. Members and children under 12 get in free.
