Medora - Badlands Ministries will hold its 25th annual fall fellowship and fundraiser Sunday at the Community Center in Medora. Morning worship will be followed by a barbecued chicken dinner, with a quilt and general merchandise auction in the afternoon. Also, the Amidon women will make and sell lefse in the afternoon, along with baked goods and crafts.

Bowman - The Bowman City Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Bowman City Hall to consider several zoning items, including a request by the Bowman Economic Development and Bowman County Fair Board to construct an indoor arena on the fair grounds.

Killdeer - The Hill Top Heritage Foundation of Killdeer, which supports the community's nursing home, will hold its 16th annual steak fry and auction at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 16 at the Killdeer school multipurpose room. Beach -Employees of the Farm Service Agency in Beach will know by Nov. 2 whether they are employed and the office remains open. The two already have been offered a $25,000 early retirement buyout, as part of the federal government's plan to reduce North Dakota staff by 24 employees.

New Town - The Mandan Hidatsa Arikara Signature Event Committee will hold tryouts for young women interested in interpreting Sakakawea during the 2006 Lewis and Clark event. Center - It appears that Center-Stanton High School has resolved when it will hold senior graduation ceremonies. After some confusion and date change last year, the board took public input and decided to hold the ceremony the Saturday following the last day of classes, which this school year will be May 20. The policy will get a first hearing at the board's meeting Wednesday.
