A Bismarck woman faces a felony charge for allegedly trying to take a child custody dispute into her own hands.
Genevieve Fisher, 29, was charged Monday with Class Cfelony criminal trespass. South Central District Judge Bruce Romanick set bond for her at $1,000 cash or surety.
Bismarck Police Lt. Randy Ziegler said officers were called to a northwest Bismarck home at 5:20 p.m. Saturday. The people at the home said Fisher, their son's ex-wife, had broken into their home and taken her 9-year-old daughter.
The girl's visitation apparently was arranged through verbal agreement by her parents, Ziegler said.
He said Fisher also was accused of assaulting her ex-husband's mother and his girlfriend.
She was charged in Bismarck Municipal Court on Monday with Class B misdemeanor simple assault.
