Historical organizations in North Dakota can nominate outstanding state and local projects or individuals for national awards sponsored by the American Association for State and Local History.
The deadline for nominations to be sent to the State Historical Society of North Dakota is March 1, 2009.
Nominations are then reviewed by a national committee in the summer of 2009 with formal presentation of the awards made during the AASLH annual meeting in Indianapolis on Aug. 26-29, 2009.
All nominations must be submitted to the state awards chairman on an official form. For more information and a copy of the form, call state awards chairman Diane Rogness, State Historical Society of North Dakota, at 701-825-6840 or e-mail at drogness@nd.gov.
Nomination forms also are available by visiting the AASLH Web site at www.aaslh.org, or by contacting the AASLH office at 615-320-3203 or e-mail at hawkins@aaslh.org.
