Police are investigating how partially nude photographs of teenage girls got on a Bismarck man's cell phone.

Bismarck Police Lt. Randy Ziegler said a parole officer reported finding three photos of partially nude teenage girls on the 21-year-old Bismarck man's phone on Thursday.

One girl was identified as a 16-year-old Hebron girl, Ziegler said. He said the girl did not know how the photograph, sent May 23, ended up on the Bismarck man's phone, but she acknowledged having the photos of herself on her phone.

The girl's mother was notified, and she removed the photos from her daughter's phone, Ziegler said.

He said another girl has not been identified.

The man has not been arrested or charged for having the photographs, Ziegler said. He said the incident remains under investigation, and the phone was seized as evidence.
